Aalborg, Denmark — 14 February 2026. NOVO Imaging has completed the delivery and full commissioning of a Siemens SOMATOM Definition AS+ 64-slice CT scanner for a university hospital in northern Denmark. The system was sourced, refurbished to specification, deinstalled from its previous site in Germany, transported, and installed over a six-week project period.
The installation included full CT room preparation, system calibration, performance verification against Siemens acceptance test protocols, and three days of applications training for the radiology team. The system passed all acceptance criteria and entered clinical service on schedule.
“This project is a good illustration of what end-to-end equipment placement looks like,” said Thomas Holm, Logistics Manager at NOVO Imaging. “From identifying the right system in our European network to having the first patient scanned took exactly 42 days.”
The university hospital will use the system for oncology staging, trauma assessment, and cardiac CT protocols. The placement came with a 24-month parts warranty and a first-year service agreement with NOVO Imaging’s certified engineering team.
