Most CT tubes last 200,000–400,000 seconds of scan time; actual remaining life depends on usage intensity and tube model.

Typical requirements include a 20–35 m² control room and scan room, concrete slab floor capable of bearing 2,000–6,000 kg, radiation-shielded walls (typically 2–4 mm Pb equivalent), stable 3-phase power, and chilled water cooling.
